I was born in Dublin but I lived over 30 years in Co. Clare.

I now paint using my Family Name " Dorman " Now back in Dublin, My Art is often influenced by the Scenes and Light of The West of Ireland.

While mostly self taught I am influenced by my Secondary School Art Teacher, Sr. Alexis in Mount Sackville.

As an adult I attended many courses in Oil Painting Landscapes, Seascapes, Portraits and Still Life.

John Dinan is my favourite Contemporary Irish Painter and Teacher.
I qualified as an Art Historian in Trinity College Dublin.
